Summary: No one can become what they need to be by remaining the way they are. Those crucified with Jesus learned this valuable lesson. Let’s examinie it together!
Introduction
Crucifixon was the Roman form of execution. It was meant to be a public spectacle, to serve as a deterrent to other lawbreakers. It was indeed a horrible way to die.
Have you ever wondered why Jesus was crucified? My next question would be why with two others? I can think of several reasons:
1. less effort if several could be executed at once.
2. to increase the public humiliation.
3. even in death Jesus is surrounded by the lost-Lk 19:12.
4. to fulfill prophecy; Isa 53:12
Three Crosses on one hill. Yet each one different from the other. Let’s examine each one!
Main Division
I. The Cross Of Rebellion (32-39)
II. The Cross Of Repentance (40-42)
III. The Cross Of Redemption (43)
Conclusion: Three Crosses, Which One Are You On!
