Summary: People are giving in to sin every day, becuase they do not know they have any other choice.It is our job as ambassadors for Christ to let them know

Ambassadors for Christ

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

2Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

There is a Message

(Rom 3:24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

(Rom 3:25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

(Rom 3:26) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

There is a Recipient ( in need of a message)

Drunk and Druggy

Suicide victim

Divorcer

Indebted

Scared and abused etc….

They need someone to give them a reason to keep on living!!!!!!!!!!1

There is a Messenger (Ambassador)

Luk 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Not a judge / An Ambassador

not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

You are the salt of the earth

Salt Creates Thirst

I am not responsible for what the world does, but it is my duty, my calling, my reasonable service, only natural for a child of God to live such a compelling life, such a salty life that sinners literally can not quench their curiosity and their wonder until they themselves have tasted of God.

“You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make him drink“( but you can feed him salty peanuts)

Ambassador not a Trader

(2Co 6:4) But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

2Co 6:11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

2Co 6:12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

2Co 6:13 Now for a recompense in the same, I (speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

It is one thing to be salty it is another to just compromising ourselves. We should not be influenced by the world but we should be the influence.

You not only destroy yourself compromising the gospel, but you loved one as well.

The slothful servant

Once upon a time there was a great kingdom , so great that it was ruled by a Father and a son. But through the course of time the Father and son began to argue until soon the kingdom was divided. One day as the men of both sides began to prepare for battle, the Father sent for his servant. He empowered the servant as a ambassador to go and tell his son that he loved him and forgave him if he would only come to him and reconcile. The king told the servant to go in haste before any fighting might break out. The kingdom lied in the hand of this servant and his message. Unfortuanly the servant was slothful and as he traveled he met some of his friends who asked him to stop and rest himself before he finished his journey. What he didn’t know was as he slept the two armies not receiving the message was quickly attacking the kingdom. It came finally to the point that the Son and Father would meet and the son not knowing the Fathers heart attacked him suddenly and with no choice the Father in thought for his life slew his son, and as he held him near his death the Father cried did you not know I had forgiven you?

I ask you to day who’s hands should the blood be on? Are we spreading the gospel message to a lost and dying world, or are we only using as a pillow as we appease our slothful lifestyles?

(Luk 12:47) And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
