AM I FOREVER TRAPPED?

I LIVE IN THE RIGHT HOUSE!

WHAT IS LIFE? HOW DID I GET HERE?

John 16:33 (MSG) I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable

and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience

difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world."

John 16:33 (KJV) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have

peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome

the world.

There was a story in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE about a man named

EDWARD GREER. Ed was a very successful man at HUGHES AIRCRAFT

in El Segundo, California.

He seemed to always feel pressure from his boss, his wife and his father.

He grew bitterness and hatred for his life.

ED SEEMED TO BE THE MOST MISERABLE MAN ON EARTH.

Ed told those that worked with him:

NEVER BECOME TOO GOOD AT SOMETHING THAT YOU HATE.

THEY WILL MAKE YOU DO IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

Ed made an easy decision for him:

On September 10,1981 Ed secretly purchased a one way ticket to

Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He lived as a beach bum with no pressure

at all. For spending money he would fix boat engines. He got up when he

wanted and soon he found himself tired of this lifestyle.

Ed moved to TEXAS and assumed another person's identity. Finally he

found himself in the Houston area and started working for a small oil exploration

company.

Ed's wife divorced him absentia. His children never knew him.

Some YUPPIES that felt trapped by CORPORATE AMERICA had a fantasy

idea of Greer's choices.

In October, 1988--- 7 years after Greer abandoned his family and his job,

THE FBI FOUND ED UNDER HIS ASSUMED NAME.

GREER told the agents:

I GOT SICK OF LIFE AND I FELT TRAPPED. I HATED MY LIFE!

TODAY LIFE IS NOT LIKE THE OLD CROCK POT-slow cooker.

TODAY IS LIKE A PRESSURE COOKER --- fast and furious.

I just want to win the lottery and run away.

STOP THIS WORLD AND LET ME OFF?

GOD HAS A BETTER IDEA...

LIFE CAN BE STRIFE, PRESSURE, BITTERNESS, FUSSING & FIGHTING?

OR LIFE CAN BE FULL OF JOY, PEACE, HOPE ---

DO WE ACCEPT DYSFUNCTIONAL AS THE NORM?

HAS COMPLAINING, FUSSING AND ARGUMENTIVE LIFE STYLES BECOME

ACCEPTABLE?

HAVE WE DEVELOPED POOR AND UNHEALTHY BEHAVIORS AND ATTITUDES

WITHIN OUR HOMES? We seem to become unable to function in the proper way.

ARE WE ALLOWING ABNORMAL AND UNHEALTHY BEHAVIOR TO SLOWLY

AND GRADUALLY CREEP IN OUR HOMES?

The family is under great attack.

We are so angry and bitter and we refuse to see THE TRAPS SET BEFORE US.

We head toward destruction at 1440 minutes a day.

ARE WE SO TRAPPED WE REFUSE TO CHANGE?

LIFE IS ABOUT CHOICES...

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I

have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that

BAD ATTITUDES AND MEAN WORDS... ????

WE ARE GROWING FROZEN COMMUNICATION LINES AND WE REFUSE

TO LISTEN TO THE OTHERS... WE SCREAM AND SHOUT AND WE GRADUALLY

PUSH AWAY ALL THE THINGS THAT WE LOVE...

DO YOU LIVE IN THE "RIGHT HOUSE?" "THE RIGHT FAMILY?"

I AM RIGHT! YOU ARE WRONG!
