Summary: King Agrippa, almost was persuaded to be a christian

Almost Persuaded

Acts 26:1 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You are permitted to speak for yourself.”

So Paul stretched out his hand and answered for himself:

2 “I think myself happy, King Agrippa, because today I shall answer for myself before you concerning all the things of which I am accused by the Jews,

3 especially because you are expert in all customs and questions which have to do with the Jews. Therefore I beg you to hear me patiently.

28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

Persuade - 1. Cause (someone) to do something through reasoning or argument:

What do you need to be persuaded about today?

• Trust God

• Accept Christ

• Accept your Call

• Forgive, Move-on, accept

• To stop straddling the fence

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Elijah at Mt. Carmel - 1 Kings 18:21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

2 Timothy 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

Romans 8: 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Can you almost be saved?

Can you almost go to Heaven?

Can you almost love your spouse?

Almost - not quite; very nearly:

In the journal of your life, will today and this message I preach to you – be recorded that you heard it – Pastor Ronnie almost persuaded me to change my destiny.

I almost came to the altar.

I almost gave in.

I almost took that step.

I almost changed my life today!
