22:32 But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have turned again, strengthen and establish your brethren.

2. To feed the flock of GOD

John 21:15-17 (Amplified Bible)

21:15 When they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these [others do—with reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion, as one loves the Father]? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You [that I have deep, instinctive, personal affection for You, as for a close friend]. He said to him, Feed My lambs.

21:16 Again He said to him the second time, Simon, son of John, do you love Me [with reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion, as one loves the Father]? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You [that I have a deep, instinctive, personal affection for You, as for a close friend]. He said to him, Shepherd (tend) My sheep.

21:17 He said to him the third time, Simon, son of John, do you love Me [with a deep, instinctive, personal affection for Me, as for a close friend]? Peter was grieved (was saddened and hurt) that He should ask him the third time, Do you love Me? And he said to Him, Lord, You know everything; You know that I love You [that I have a deep, instinctive, personal affection for You, as for a close friend]. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Similarities and Differences between Abraham and Sarah

1. Abraham is the lord over Sarah, Sarah is the princess.

Sarah is "saw-raw" in Hebrew meaning "princess, feminine of captain, chief, prince, ruler" from her old name "Sarai" meaning dominative. Sarah recognized the lordship, and authority of his husband Abraham over her.

Abraham came from the Hebrew word "'abraham" meaning "father of a multitude" from Abram meaning "high father" or "exalted father" because he can't bear children and is impotent.

Genesis 17:15 (Amplified Bible)

17:15 And God said to Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai; but Sarah [Princess] her name shall be.

Genesis 17:5 (Amplified Bible)

17:5 Nor shall your name any longer be Abram [high, exalted father]; but your name shall be Abraham [father of a multitude], for I have made you the father of many nations.

2. GOD talked to Abraham directly regarding his Seed (CHRIST), even the change of name of Sarah was told to Abraham not to Sarah

Genesis 17:19 (King James Version)

17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his Seed after him.

Genesis 17:15 (Amplified Bible)

And God said to Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai; but Sarah [Princess] her name shall be.

3. Both of them laughed at hearing of having a son, but Sarah denied it at first, but later admitted it.

Genesis 18:15 (Amplified Bible)
