A World Is In Rebellion As In The Days Of Noah Series

The world today is reminiscent of the days of Noah, as described in the Bible. In Genesis 6:5, it is written, "The Lord saw that the wickedness of humanity was widespread on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil all the time."

Just like in Noah's time, our world is filled with violence, corruption, and immorality. People have become selfish, greedy, and cruel, with no regard for God or His laws. As 2 Timothy 3:1-5 warns, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."

Furthermore, just as God sent a flood to destroy the wickedness of humanity in Noah's time (Genesis 6:17), He will soon send judgment upon the world for its sins. As Jesus said in Luke 17:26-27, "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all."

However, just as Noah and his family were saved from the flood, those who put their trust in God and obey His commands will be saved from the coming judgment. As 1 Peter 3:20-21 says, "God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God."

Bible Verses:

God saw that people's thoughts and actions were entirely focused on evil, and that wickedness was rampant on the earth.

2 Timothy 3:1-5:"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."

This passage describes the characteristics of people in the last days, which are marked by selfishness, greed, pride, and a lack of love and self-control. It warns that these traits will be prevalent in the world before Jesus' return.

Genesis 6:17:"For I have come to destroy them with the earth."This verse describes God's decision to send a flood to destroy the wickedness of humanity. The flood was a judgment on the earth, and it destroyed all living things except for Noah and his family, who were saved on the ark.

Luke 17:26-27:"Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. “This passage compares the days of Noah to the days of the Son of Man (Jesus). Just as people were living their lives normally before the flood, not realizing what was about to happen, so too will people be living their lives normally before Jesus' return, not realizing what is about to happen.

It also draws a parallel between the floodwaters and baptism, saying that just as the floodwaters saved Noah and his family, so too does baptism save us today by giving us a clear conscience toward God.

Matthew 24:37-39:"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."
