Summary: This woman had no hope until she seen Jesus from a distance and said "If I may touch his clothes, I shall be whole"

Mark 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Here is a woman who suffered for 12 years with what could have been a tumor or something of that nature but, in any case she was going to die from loss of blood if something wasn't done. You will notice in verse 26 that she had seen many doctors and spent all she had and nothing had worked. As a matter of fact Bible says "but rather grew worse"

The problem had gotten worse. This woman had no hope until she seen Jesus from a distance and said "If I may touch his clothes, I shall be whole"

Faith, its faith that brought that woman to Jesus. It was Jesus who was close by, so close that she could touch Him and her faith said: "If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole" She did touch His garment the Bible says and she was healed. In verse 29, "And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;"

When I got up this morning, I made myself a coffee and turned on the TV and was watching the news and one story was one that I had been following for a few weeks was, the controversy of the Christian flag being flown at the Veter-ans Memorial in King. Here again today is yet another episode but, this one is different.

The reason it caught my eye was the headlines reminded me of what the Bible says about the woman's blood issue

" And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;" Below is that Headline.

Leaky Fountain Closes King Veterans Memorial

KING, N.C. -- The veteran's memorial in King that has been at the center of a Christian flag controversy was closed Wednesday night. A large tarp was put up and the memorial was surrounded by a temporary fence. King's city manager said the fountain at the memorial is leaking, and it's closed for repairs. It will reopen once the repairs are completed

Slow bleeding was to be the death of this woman we see in the Bible but, she came to Jesus and put her faith in Him.

She was made whole, she was saved from death, not only saved by the slow death of her blood issue in her body but, an eternal death and damnation of the sin in her life because of her faith in Jesus.

It's said that someone who has lost a lot of blood goes into shock and then unconscious and then death if not restored.

Folks, we have a leaky fountain and its killing people by the millions today. Sin kills, it kills individuals , it kills families, it kills community's and its killing America.

America has a blood issue, its taking the blood of Jesus from our community, from our country and taking it down so not to be displayed before the sinner or non believer.

They are trying to pass a law that all flags of all beliefs be flown before a Christian flag can be flown but, still the Christian flag is the only one that represents a living God, it's the only one that represents Jesus Christ our Saviour who is the only one that can take away the sins of the world. Who can make anyone that comes to Him be made whole. Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

They can take Jesus from our flag poles but, they can never take Him from our hearts!
