Topic: A SERVANT IS NOT GREATER THAN HIS LORD
John 15:18-21 King James Version (KJV)
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
Beloved, whatever the world is putting you through, know that they put Jesus, your Lord through it first.
Beloved, the challenges, persecutions, attacks, slander etc etc etc that Christians go through day in day out in the hands of this world is all because of Jesus.
If you decide to follow Jesus, you will face all these things mentioned above because the world put Him through same.
No servant is greater than his Lord; Jesus taught us this, so we know that, whatever He suffered in the hands of this world we would suffer same in their hands.
The Christian walk or journey is not a rosy one. It's one full of ups and downs. The world would challenge and persecute you, put you in very tight corners under situations that you can do nothing on your own.
At this point, your faith needs to come into play, you need to surrender all to Jesus, you need to know you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you, you are a victor and fight from a victory position and Jesus is on your side and always with you.
Beloved, this is the point where Jesus takes over and delivers victory into your hands. Beloved, because of all that we would go through as Christians we should always trust in Jesus fully not to ever leave us and know that, in the end we would be in heaven with Him.
*IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. It's not about the world and the world cannot determine our end but Jesus. Trust in Him and give it all to Him.
Prayer: Father please strengthen me to stand and face all these challenges and persecutions as your child as Jesus fights my battles for me for eternal victory over my enemies in His holy name. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
