Summary: When Jesus reigns, His power lifts you above the weight of the world, His peace quiets the chaos, and His purpose gives you the confidence to move forward, no matter what.
2. His Purpose includes Redemption
a. At the heart of Jesus’ eternal purpose is redemption.
b. His mission, from the very beginning, was to rescue us—to bring us back into relationship with God.
c. His birth in that manger wasn’t just a nice story—it marked the start of the greatest rescue mission the world has ever known.
d. Jesus came to pay the price for your sins, to bring forgiveness, and to restore what was lost.
e. Because He reigns forever, you can know today that redemption is available to you.
f. It’s not just something that happened two thousand years ago—it’s a reality that impacts you right now.
3. His Purpose is Eternal
a. Everything He does is in the context of eternity—from His work on the cross to His promise to return, everything He did is meant to last forever.
b. That’s why we can have hope, even in the midst of all the chaos and confusion in this world.
c. When everything else feels uncertain, Jesus’ eternal reign means we have security.
i. His kingdom is unshakable.
ii. When everything else is shaking, His Kingdom stands firm.
d. And not only that, but because Jesus’ purpose is eternal, your purpose in Him is eternal too.
4. His Purpose Involves Us
a. Your life matters in the grand scheme of eternity.
i. Have you ever thought about that??
ii. Your life matters in ways you may not even realize.
iii. It’s not just about the here and now; it’s about the eternal impact your life can have.
b. Your life matters because God created you with purpose.
i. You weren’t an accident or an afterthought.
ii. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:10 that you are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works that He prepared in advance for you to do.
iii. That means you’re part of His eternal plan—right here, right now.
c. Your life matters because your faith can influence others.
i. The way you live out your trust in Jesus can inspire others to seek Him.
ii. You might never know the full impact of your life on this side of eternity, but make no mistake—your faithfulness has ripple effects that go far beyond what you can see.
d. And your life matters because you were made for eternity.
i. God didn’t just design you for 70, 80, or 90 years on this earth.
ii. He created you to be with Him forever.
e. So, let me ask you again: Have you ever thought about how much your life truly matters?
i. If you’ve been doubting your worth or questioning your significance, I want you to hear this—you are part of God’s eternal story.
ii. Your life has value, your choices have meaning, and your faith has power to change not just your life but the lives of those around you.
f. Jesus desires us— His people, to be active participants in His Kingdom.
i. He’s not looking for passive followers.
ii. He’s looking for active participants in His eternal Kingdom.
g. You’re not just a bystander in His story— You’re a part of it.
i. He’s asking you to make a difference in this world.
h. So here’s the real question: Is Jesus truly King in your heart?
i. Is He really sitting on the throne of your life, or have you let something else take that seat?
