Title: " Day in the Life of Christ"

Introduction: Are you a Christian?

A Christian is someone who is Christ-like.

(Acts 11:26 KJV) And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

The goal of Christianity is that we become Christ-like.

(Rom 8:29 KJV) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

So, what was Christ like?

To know what Christ was like, let us study, " Day in the Life of Christ."

In our study, we are going to take a close look at how Christ responded to things that went on around him. Then we will be asking ourselves this simple question. "Am I like that?"

Here is our text:

(Mark 6:31 KJV) And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

(Mark 6:32 KJV) And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

Are you busy about the Father’s business?

Or do you say:

"I just don’t have the time for the things of God?"

(Mark 6:33 KJV) And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.

(Mark 6:34 KJV) And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

(Mark 6:35 KJV) And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

(Mark 6:36 KJV) Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

Do you have a passion for the souls of men?

Or do you say:

"Who are all these people? Make them go away?"

(Mark 6:37 KJV) He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

(Mark 6:38 KJV) He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

(Mark 6:39 KJV) And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

(Mark 6:40 KJV) And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

(Mark 6:41 KJV) And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

(Mark 6:42 KJV) And they did all eat, and were filled.

Do you have enough faith that you call upon the Father to feed the five thousand?

Or do you say:

"I don’t have the money. I can’t afford to help?"

(Mark 6:43 KJV) And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

Do you gather up the fragments that nothing be wasted?

Or do you say:

"It will go unnoticed, no one will care if I throw it away?"

(Mark 6:44 KJV) And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

(Mark 6:45 KJV) And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

Are you the last one to leave the Church and turn off the lights?

Or do you say:

"I want to go home, let someone else finish the task?"

(Mark 6:46 KJV) And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

(Mark 6:47 KJV) And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

Do you have an intimate prayer life with the Father?

Or do you say:

"I don’t have any pressing needs, so why pray?"

(Mark 6:48 KJV) And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

(Mark 6:49 KJV) But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
