Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him: IF THOU CANST BELIEVE, all things are possible to him that believes.

24. And straight way the father of the child cried out, and said WITH TEARS, Lord, I believe; HELP THOU MINE UNBELIEF!

Psalms 68:1 Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered:

LET US START THIS LESSON ON DIVINE POSSIBILITIES WITH THIS QUESTION:

I WOULD BE A BETTER CHRISTIAN IF ________________________?

Then ask yourself: WHY DO I NOT DO THIS AND BECOME MORE LIKE JESUS?

I have faced great obstacles in bringing this series to you. Twice my computer erased everything I had written on that lesson, two lessons erased, but I just invested more time and did the lessons over again.

This has been one of the most powerful series I have taught.

We are building churches on man’s abilities, but our Father has bigger plans than this for His Church. The Father’s Church is glorious and without spot or wrinkle. Perhaps man’s eyes cannot see the Father’s Church with man’s natural vision.

I. HARDSHIPS OF LIFE ARE NOT SENT BY UNKIND DESTINY AND FATE TO CRUSH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. HARDSHIPS, STORMS, TRIALS, TEMPTATIONS ARE BUT TOOLS

GOD USES TO CHALLENGE AND OPEN OPPORTUNITIES TO ALLOW GOD TO ARISE.

A. IT IS HIGH TIME THE CHURCH ARISE AND SPEAK TO THE DIVINE POSSIBILITIES?

AS A BLOSSOM GOES BEFORE THE FRUIT, SO FAITH MUST GO BEFORE THE MIRACLE.

We would rather watch Larry King and talk about this one’s failures and shortcomings, and why things in the long past are affecting our launching out in the deeper things of God and hindering are arising to a greater level.

So what, the boy spent all that he had, and worked and lived in the Pig Pen!

God can use the Pig Pen to advance His servant and His kingdom.

B. I GUESS WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL EVEN THE BEST STUDENTS HAD ERASERS ON THEIR PENCILS.

C. Mark Twain once said: EVERY DOG SHOULD HAVE A FEW FLEAS, IT KEEPS HIS MIND OFF BEING A DOG!

II. THERE HAS TO BE MORE THAN THIS? WWZ OR ZWW ARE REAL CHURCH KILLERS.

Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

We have two attitudes that can grow great danger within the church.

A. ZEAL WITHOUT WISDOM CAN KILL US DEADER THAN A DOOR NAIL!

WE HAVE THE DIVINEWARES WITHOUT THE DIVINE

POSSIBILITIES?

We are smarter today than ever before, we have classes, seminars, Men’s Conventions,Lady’s Aglow, VBS, Camps. We have meetings about meetings, and we are forsaking the Divine Presence that brings about the Divine Possibilities!

We have Gospel Concerts with gospel comedians making us laugh.

We have pretty dress alike dancers --- stepping in synchronized choreographed movements.

We have polished professional voices enhanced by the best technological equipment that makes the tenor voices higher and the bass voices lower.

We have pamphlets, books, charts, DVD’s and Videos.

Christian leaders are making fortunes selling their DIVINEWARES to modern Christianettes so they can go into the Kitchenette to smoke a cigarette?

We have Men’s Bibles, Lady’s Bibles, Teen Bibles, Children’s Bibles all gathering dust over there on the shelf?

B. THERE ARE SOME DEADLIER THINGS IN THE CHURCH THAN ZEAL WITHOUT WISDOM, WE HAVE WISDOM WITHOUT ZEAL.

I have a family that visited a church several hundred miles away from our town. They were so excited. The whole church service, singing included lasted less than 15 minutes.

We dismiss our church services for the Super Bowl, Christmas, the 4th of July.

Many churches are closing down their Sunday Schools, their Sunday evening, and their Wednesday night services to appease the people?

C. When I attended church at Middlesboro, Ky. I was a school teacher. There was a terrible gas shortage and gas doubled in price. I drove many miles to get to church.

One night a man stood and said, I move we dismiss church services to save on our buying gas, then he spoke to his motion.

I stood and addressed the body, I said, How can we afford to miss church?

I admen the motion, Let’s all take off work on Friday’s and use that gas to come to church? We all traveled further to work than we did to church.

D. How can we sit through church and go to sleep?

How can we sing the songs of glory with a frown on our faces?
