#8 UNDERSTANDING LOVE: THE ROLE OF UNITY

TO UNDERSTAND LOVE WE NEED TO IDENTIFY THAT THERE ARE THREE AREAS OF

OUR DAILY LIFE THAT BECOME VERY REVEALING! UNDERSTAND WHAT IS

IMPORTANT TO SHOW LOVE?

DO WE UNDERSTAND THAT ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THAT WE CAN

DO IS : KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING!

I can not define to others what the main thing should be. It is totally up to the individual

to define what their main thing?

THERE CAN EXIST A GREAT DANGER LURKING IN THE SHADOWS.

Often in life we say something is IMPORTANT to us with our mouth and then what we do, the

reality of daily life differs from what we say. We must guard our hearts that what we say and

what we do align. There are three areas that will define what is really important.

1. TIME:

Ephesians 5:16 (KJV) Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Where you spend your money will help tell your priorities. There is something that will

tell more about the real you than how you spend your money? SHOW ME WHERE YOU SPEND

YOUR TIME, AND YOUR MAIN THING WILL BE REVEALED.

Did you read about the mother's time spent? She did not abuse her children, she neglected them.

Neglect can be as dangerous as abuse. The lady's ex-husband made a police report and started an

investigation. The baby's diaper had not been changed in days. The children were hungry and dirty.

They had not been to school in days. The house was nasty, maggots everywhere. The lady's

computer revealed she had been active on her computer on the average of 20 hours a day. She

used Facebook, dating sites, and some terrible things. The state removed her children, she

could not understand. IT IS HER TIME TO USE HOW SHE SO DESIRES?

If you love fishing, you will find time to fish? If you love TV, you will find time to watch your

programs? If you like to shop, you will go to the stores? If you love old people, you will visit

and love them? If you love church, you will attend faithfully? See what you love you will invest

your time in doing.

2. TALENT: Each person has gifting's. You are unique. You have talents to touch other people.

Matthew 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee

that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast

not strawed:

Dorcas in the New Testament used her needle and thread.

There was a widow woman that cooked for her family and the preacher.

One lady remodeled her house and made room for the preacher to have a place to stay.

You have talents that you can DEVELOP. I CALL IT POLISHING YOUR TALENTS. You can

train yourself to SEE NEEDS and develop a plan to improve your skills.

YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR BURIED TALENTS.

CAN YOU IDENTIFY THE SOURCES THAT KEEP US FROM IMPROVING OUR TALENTS?

3. TREASURE: Sure, I hear the cry: NOW YOU ARE BACK ON MONEY AGAIN.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and

an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance

of the heart his mouth speaketh.

What do you value? WHERE DO YOU MAKE YOUR DEPOSITS? Is your energy being poured

into temporal trash cans?

GIFTS ARE DEMOSTRATIONS OF LOVE FROM ONE HEART TO ANOTHER.

GIVING OF YOUR TIME, TALENTS AND TREASURES WILL TELL WHAT YOU VALUE.

DO WE GIVE OUR BEST? DO WE GIVE TO RECEIVE?

YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR MOTIVATION AS TO WHY YOU DO WHAT YOU DO!

WHY DO YOU NOT DO WHAT YOU DON'T DO?

NO PERSON IS AN ISLAND TO HIMSELF...

I have a question to ask you about mountain climbing?

WHAT IS THE REASON THAT ON A HIGH, DANGEROUS MOUNTAIN

THAT MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS TIED THEMSELVES TOGETHER?

Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Ever consider the BEES? ANTS? The success of one is dependant on the whole group

working together.

You are not ALONE. We are social beings.

The individual, the family and the church must consider: WE NEED EACH OTHER.

Where there is love is wonderful, but love gets hurt.

LOVE CAN GROW COLD AND DIE.

WE BELIEVE IN THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD AND OF LOVE.
