When My Situation Seems Impossible Series

Summary: The angel tells Mary that nothing is impossible with God. This sermon looks at five things that seem impossible that God has made possible.

- Shallow requests.
WHAT ARE SOME WORTHWHILE REQUESTS THAT SEEM IMPOSSIBLE?
1. “I wish I could have my slate wiped clean.”
- Luke 24:47.
- Matthew 26:28; Luke 3:3; Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; Hebrews 9:22.
- Forgiveness of sins.
2. “I wish I could see her again.”
- John 11:25.
- Matthew 25:46; John 10:28; John 11:25.
- Eternal life.
3. “I wish I was a better person.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15; Ephesians 2:15; Ephesians 4:24.
- New creation; empowerment to live differently.
4. “I wish the world wasn’t such a mess.”
- Romans 8:18-22; Revelation 21:1-4.
- Redemption of the physical world.
5. “I wish there could be peace on earth.”
- Peace on earth.
HOW GOD DID IT: God did the impossible through the unimaginable.
- Luke 2:6; Luke 23:46.
- Consider His birth and His death.
- God became flesh and then died for us. Unimaginable!
