Seven Figures Expressing Christian Influenece and Responsibility

We as Christians have certain responsibilities that we need to fulfill in order to live a life pleasing to God. We need to have a good influence on every one we meet. God also wants us to tell them about Christ. Sometimes all you have to do is plant the seed and someone else will water it. As most of you probably know 7 is gods perfect number. There were 7 churches, 7 vials, 7 golden candlesticks, 7 trumpets, 7 seals and lots more.

Like I was saying earlier we need to be good witnesses. Isa 43:10 Our god is the only god and there wont ever be another one. Our god died on the cross for our sins. Its says that Jesus spent lots of time praying the night before he was crucified, asking if there was any other way for this to happen. But he knew that this was the only way. It is our job to go out and talk to people about Jesus otherwise they will just die and go to hell.

We are also said to be the salt of this world. Mt 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt hath lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted. It is henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the foot of men. Have you ever eaten food that hasn’t been salted most of the time it tastes kind of bland. How would you like to be eating a t-bone steak and someone come out and pour sand on it. That steak is now ruined. That’s what Christians are that aren’t working for God. Us as Christians don’t make the world better we just enhance it by adding the touch of godliness.

Christ also said that we are to be the light of this world. Mt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. If we are not witnessing to people we are kinda hiding and that’s just the opposite of what we’re suppose to be doing. If we’re serving the Lord then we’re shinning his bright light off of us like a mirror. The same affect as the moon reflecting the light of the sun. When we light a candle we don’t cover it up because that would be useless.

We are also to be the branches of Christ. And should be bearing spiritual fruit. Jn 15:5 I am the vine ye are the branches, he that abideth in me and I in him the same bringeth forth much fruit, for without me ye can do nothing. Rom 6:22 but now being made free from sin and become servants to god ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end of everlasting life. god is the main vine and we are the little bity vines that feed off the main vine. If we separate ourselves from god then we wont produce anything or last very long. Bringing forth fruit doesn’t just mean going out soul-winning every once in a while. Gal 5:18-23 Here is gave a list of bad things and said these things shouldn’t be found even once among you. But farther down it lists the fruits of the spirit, which there is no law. That means you can do anything on that second lists as much as you want and no one will complain.

We need to be epistles, instructing people. Or discipling them. 2nd Cor 3:2 Ye are the epistle in our hearts, known and read of all men. If you are saved you are also an instructor. Again talking about the great commission, we are instructed to go out and win souls. And teach them that Christ lived and died and was resurrected on the 3rd day. And the blood that he shed on the cross covers every one of our sins.

Next we are to be ambassadors, or presenters of Christ. 2nd Cor 5:20 Now then we are the ambassadors for Christ, as through god did beseech you by us, we pray you in Christ’s stead be ye reconciled to god. One more responsibility is to be ambassadors of Christ every where we go. People should be able to take just one look at us and be able to tell that we are born again believers.

Lastly we should be ministering as good stewards. 1st Pet. 4:10 As every man hath received the gift even so minister the same one to another as good stewards of the manifold of the grace of god. Distributing the word of god. Being good stewards has to do with finances, and just about every thing else you do. So in order to be a good steward you need to have a positive attiude. Luke 12:35-38,42 This is saying your heart will be where your treasure is. Be ready for action and have your lamps burning. Be like servants waiting to open the door at their master’s knock when he returns from a wedding. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. I can guarantee this truth he will change his clothes, make them sit down at the table, and serve them. They will be blessed if he comes in the middle of the night or toward morning and finds them awake. IN 42 That servant will be blessed if his master finds him doing this job when he comes. 1 Cor 4:1-2 People think of us as servants of Christ’s and managers who are entrusted with gods mysteries. Managers are required to be trustworthy. Tit 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless as the steward of god, not self-willed, not soon angry not given to wine no striker not given to filthy lucre. Because a bishop is a supervisor appointed by god he must have a good reputation. He must no be a stubborn or irritable person. He must not drink or be a violet person. He must not use shameful ways to make money.
