It has been said if you cannot say something nice about a person, do not say anything at all. Of all the bible characters, Judas has about the blackest record of them all. Because he walked and talked with Jesus but never repented and took him as savior.
In verse 64, Jesus knew. Why did he want a devil in the ministry? Matthew 10:8, sent out with the other apostles. He doeth all things well, maketh no mistakes, why?
1. Bible Prophecy Might be Fulfilled.
a. John 13:18
b. Psalm 41:9
c. Infidel would have grounds for doubting.
d. Verbal inspiration of Bible.
e. Fulfilled prophecy.
1) Proves bible to be supernatural word of God.
2) It is unity, durability, transforming power.
2. Proves the Deity of Christ.
a. John 13:19
b. Jesus is God, John 20:30.
c. Inspiration and deity are fundamental cornerstones to Christian faith.
d. If either is false, we can quit and tear up the bible.
e. Jesus said:
1) None good but God.
2) Acts 16:31
3) Romans 10:9-10
4) Give him an opportunity.
3. Story of Judas is an Encouragement to Us.
a. One traitor out of twelve men.
b. Demas forsook Paul.
c. If we had this small number today, we would be above average.
d. Hypocrites will not wreck the church.
4. A Solemn Warning to Church Members.

b. Member of first church, baptized, but lost.

d. Notice the attitude.
e. Lost, a devil, a traitor, a thief, board member.
f. Matthew 26:47-49, the betrayal.

j. John 3:19, He loved darkness.
5. Judas Chosen to Show Patience of Jesus.
a. 3 ½ years.
b. Judas heard the gospel.
c. Judas did not call Jesus Lord.
d. He called him Master.
e. Judas crossed the dead line.
