What Time Is It Series

I. It is Time to Wake Up Spiritually

1. Romans 13:11, Ephesians 5:14-17

2. Mark 13:35-37, I am convinced that if the Lord Jesus were to come today, He would find many of His people spiritually asleep.

a. Most important time in Christ’s ministry, he found his disciples asleep. Matthew 26:36-41

b. In what areas do we need to wake up spiritually?

3. Wake up to the facts that Jesus is coming again.

a. Matthew 25:1-13, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-8, Acts 1:10-11

b. John 14:3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Yes, Jesus is coming again.

c. One evidence is seen in the attendance of Sunday school. The numbers get fewer and fewer.

4. Wake up to the fact, that we will not have forever to do the work God has called us to do.

a. It must began with a decision to do it. Never drift into uselessness.

b. Joshua 24:15

c. Our work is the same work that Jesus was called to do. John 4:34-35

1) God’s will

2) Matthew 7:21

3) John 6:39-40

d. The night is coming when no man can work. John 9:4

5. Wake up to the fact we will be held accountable for not knowing and not serving.

a. Ignorance is no excuse. 2 Timothy 2:15, James 4:17

b. Suffer loss, to injure, to experience detriment. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15

c. Inward hurt missed opportunities, teaching, singing, personal witness, we will see souls lost burning in Hell.

II. It is Time to Walk Honestly

1. Romans 13:13, 1 Thessalonians 4:12

2. Ephesians 5:1-16, Colossians 4:3-6, redeeming the time.

a. Word redeem means to recover.

b. To regain possessions.

3. 1 John 2:6, walk as Jesus walked. He is to be our standard.

a. Not man.

b. Colossians 2:6, walk in Him.

4. Paul begs us. Ephesians 4:1-3

5. Now do we walk honestly, Romans 13:12 or the things of the world:

a. The worlds words, language. Ephesians 5:4

b. The worlds attitude. 1 Peter 2: 1

c. The worlds deeds

6. How do we walk honestly? In Christ. Colossians 4:3-6

a. Speak the mystery of Christ.

b. Speech is to be seasoned with grace, salt, preserving power.

III. It is Time to Realize that Time is Running Out

1. Time is running out for the world. To reach it for Christ. Many mission fields are closing.

2. Time is running out for the church to do the work God has left us to do.

3. Time is running out for the home. For the family.

a. Do everything you can do today as a family.

b. Please do not lead them away from the church and away from God.

c. Make sure you are saved. Your family is saved. Mark 8:36-37

d. What time is it? Only God knows. Hebrews 9:27

4. If you had no more time, as we know time, is there anything you feel you need to do? Is there any living that needs to be lived?

5. If you answered yes, you better start living now.

6. You have no promise of tomorrow.

8. Time to be everything God would have us to be!!!!
