Confession of Sin

1 John 1:8-10

There are three essential things for a person to grow up healthy. (We want to be healthy, don’t we?)

Food

Exercise

Rest

These must be kept in balance.

Vitamin: H (humility)

Confession of Sin. Psalm 51:1-14

1. Requires Humility.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he

saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto

the humble.

2. Requires Honesty.

1 John 1:8-10

Psalm 139:23-24

3.How does this help us grow?

a. With confession there should be repentance.

b. We learn how to avoid the same sin.

c. We learn how to face temptation.

Exercise.

a.Pray like David prayed – Ps. 139:23-24

b.Confession should be daily.

Rest

-In the assurance that your sin has been forgiven just like

-God said. "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." Hebrews 10:17

-You don’t have to bear the burden of your own sin.

-Rest in the Lord knowing you sins have been forgiven.
