A. Our love for God is based on His love for us.

C. Our love for other Believers is based on our relationship in God’s family.

III. The Benefits Of Love

·(Prov 10:12) Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

·(Rom 13:10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

·(2 Cor 5:14) For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

·(Gal 5:13) For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

·(Eph 4:15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

*(1 John 4:18) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

4. The Benefactors Of Our Love

A. We are to love God -

*(Deu 6:4-5) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

B. We are to love our families -

* (Eph 5:25) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

*(Titus 2:4) That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

C. We are to love the saints -

*(1 Pet 2:17) Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

*(1 John 5:1) Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

D. We are to love our ministers -

*(1 Th 5:13) And to esteem them very highly in love for their work
