Intro - The Acts of the Holy Ghost through the Apostles.
1. The Pain Experienced
It's Rush - 1 And as they spake unto the people,
It's Route - the priests, the captain of the temple,
and the Sadducees, came upon them.
Religous Opposition, Ritualistic Opposition, Relentless Opposition.
It's Reason - Offence at their -
Persons - 2 being grieved that they,
Practices - taught the people,
Preaching - and preached through Jesus
Promises - the resurrection from the dead.
It's Rigour - It Was -
Physical - 3 And they laid hands,
Personal - on them, Penal - and put them in hold unto the next day:
Prodigal - for it was now eventide. (Innocent Men)
It's Result -
The Grace - 4 Howbeit many of them
The Ground - which heard the word believed;
The Growth - and the number of the men was about five thousand.
2. The Patience Exhibited
The Esteemed Company - 5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes, 6 and Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
The Established Query - 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
The Exalted Agency -
The Preacher - 8 Then Peter,
The Power, filled with the Holy Ghost,
The Preaching, said unto them
The People - Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
The Problem - 9 if we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
The Power - 10 be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
3. The Power Explained -
The Proclamation Of -
A Promised Saviour - 10 be it known unto you all,
A Proficient Saviour - and to all the people of Israel,
A Proven Saviour - that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
A Protested Saviour - whom ye crucified,
A Protected Saviour - whom God raised from the dead,
A Proclaimed Saviour -
even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
A Proscribed Saviour -
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders,
A Promoted Saviour - which is become the head of the corner.
A Prescribed Saviour - 12 Neither is there salvation in any other:
Unique in His Person, His Power, His Pardon, and His Place.
A Particular Saviour - for there is none other name under heaven
A Personal Saviour - given among men,
A Pivotal Saviour - whereby we must be saved.
4. The Person Exalted - 13,14
Their Sight - 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John,
Their Sense
and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men
Their Surprise - they marvelled;
Their Summary - and they took knowledge of them,
that they had been with Jesus.
People Will Be Surprised - When We Have Been With Jesus - 13

People Will Be Searched - When We Have Been With Jesus - 13
People Will Be Silenced - When We Have Been With Jesus - 14
People Will Be Saved - When We Have Been With Jesus - 14
People Will Be Sentenced - When We Have Been With Jesus - 14
Luke 16:25 but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Their Sign -
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them,
Their Silence - they could say nothing against it.
