Dt. 19:2,10 talk about the six cities of refuge. The killer, the offender, the culprit the criminal will go and stay in those cities. The accidental killer (v.4-6) will be escaped, but, the purposeful killer (v.11-13) has to be handed over to the judges for judgment whereas in our case we are escaped though we are purposeful sinners. In the day of Judgment Jesus became our way, way out from our Sins. The roads were always maintained, bridges were made over all rivers, proper sign boards to help the people to run over to Refuge cities. Jesus is our cities of refuge.

Heb 6:18. We came to him running for refuge. A woman was brought to Jesus to be condemned for her adultery, he let her to go free (Jn. 8:2, 10-11). God has taken all our sins and rebellion on him; he became our instead. He was bound in order to make me free. Like a Bird which was set free to fly (Lev 14:4-7, 49-53). Like a goat free to roam around (Lev. 16:7-10, 20-22, 26-28). Is 53:4-7 Jesus had gone through all kinds of sufferings, beatings, hell because of my sins and my rebellion. Because he is the God of eternity, and he is your fortress (Dt. 33:27).

Ruth had lost her hope of living, her husband died, her father in law died. She had no children to take care. But she came to YHWH for her future. Ex 19:4 how God has bared you on eagles’ wings, like a father carry his Son I carried you all (Deut. 1:31). like a flying bird he keeps you under his wings (Is 31:5). like a hen I called you to be under my wings (Mt 23:37 & Lk 13:34).

God brought you to the High places of the earth and gave you newer life, new opportunities and anew blessings. (Dt. 32:11-14). Children of put their trust under the shadow of the wings (Ps. 36:7), under the shadow of thy wings I make refuge (Ps 57:1, 61:4, 63:7, 91:4).
