Summary: They marveled over the things Simeon said about the Child King. What can we learn about Jesus from the other places in Luke where this Greek word for "marvel" shows up?

- We are going to look at places in Luke (and one in Mark) where this Greek word shows up. What can we learn from it?
Marveling at Jesus:
1. They marveled at His power.
- Luke 8:25; Luke 9:43; Luke 11:14.
- Look up 8:25 and 11:14.
2. They marveled at His wisdom.
- Luke 20:26.
3. They marveled at His resurrection.
- Luke 24:12, 41.
Marveling by Jesus:
1. Jesus marveled at His hometown’s lack of faith.
- Luke 4:22.
- [put in outline] Mark 6:6 – “And [Jesus] was amazed at their lack of faith.”
2. Jesus marveled at the centurion’s faith.
- Luke 7:9.
