A Victorious Life Through Christ Series

God knows every detail concerning our physical, emotional, and mental conditions. None of our truth, whether told or untold, is ever hidden from our omniscient Father who knew us before we were conceived; He already knows our last breath on this earth; and every dot in between. Psalm 139:13 reads, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb." Matthew 10:30 explains, "But even the hairs of your head are all numbered." Matthew 6:8 reads, "...for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." Psalm 139:4 confirms, "Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether."

These few Scriptures are enough to assure us that God is omniscient; meaning He knows all things. He is the Creator. He not only made everything to serve a certain purpose for his Kingdom; but He also continues to supply all that's needed in order for his plans to bear good fruit. Therefore; we ought to praise and worship him for who He is; and not just for the things He has done for us. As a matter of fact; if we go before him with reverence and awe, we don't even have to give him a list of things we need. Just the simple fact that we want to spend time with him is good enough for God to multiply his blessings upon us.

Unlike the adversary who can only know us through our idle talks and complaints; God knows where we stand even if we don't mention our problems. Satan's greatest weapons are formed around our confessed frustrations. The more he sees us unhappy over something or someone, the more he knows which areas will weaken us; therefore possibly weaken our relationship with God.

Satan is relentless. He will keep messing with a scab until he makes it bleed again; and again; and again. And once we decide to act upon the hurt and the disappointment; he's got us. He will drag us through the mud; making sure we are constantly reminded of what a failure we are to behave so poorly. He'll even be bold enough to say, "And you call yourself a Christian!" as if he had nothing to do with it.

However; even though Satan can and will entice us to sin; he cannot force us to sin. We are always responsible for our sins. Unless we learn to take full responsibility for our own actions and stop blaming others -including Satan- for our poor choices; we will never be able to come before God with a repentant heart. A strong desire to be more like Christ comes from accepting the fact that we are not healthy and we will never be healthy enough on our own; until we are made "new" through the Son. That conversion takes place at the Cross where our Redeemer died to mend our severed relationship with the Father. That's where we exchange our flawed nature for his righteousness and start living a victorious life in this fallen world.
