Ananias the Man

His Commitment - 10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, His Character - named Ananias; "favoured of the LORD"

Acts 22:12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,

His Call - and to him said the Lord in a vision,

His Communion - Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

His Counsel - 11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

Ananias the Messenger

The Direction - 11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight,

The Destination - and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus:

The Devotion - for, behold, he prayeth,

The Demonstration - Of the

Preeminence of God - 12 And hath seen in a vision

Precision of God - a man named Ananias coming in,

Provision of God - and putting his hand on him,

Power of God - that he might receive his sight.

Ananias the Moaner

He Complained of -

The Man - 13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man,

The Mission - how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

Jonah and Nineveh

The Menace - 14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

Ananias the Mediator

His Summons - 15 But the Lord said unto him,

His Service - Go thy way:

His Surprise - At -

Saul's Salvation - for he is a chosen vessel unto me,

Saul's Submission - to bear my name before the Gentiles,

Saul's Selection - and kings, and the children of Israel:

Saul's Subjection - 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

His Surrender - 17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house;

Ananias the Miracle Worker

The Touch - and putting his hands on him

The Tenderness - said, Brother Saul,

The Task - the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest,

hath sent me,

The Treatment - that thou mightest receive thy sight,

The Transfer - and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

The Transformation -

The Pace - 18 And immediately

The Power - there fell from his eyes as it had been scales:

The Prize - and he received sight forthwith,

The Praise - and arose, and was baptized.

Ananias the Missionary Maker

Saul's Food - 19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened

Saul's Fellowship - Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.

Saul's Faith - 20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

Saul's Force - 21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

Saul's Fight -

His Walk - 22 But Saul increased the more in strength,

His War - and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus

His Work - proving that this is (the) very Christ. (that Jesus is the Messiah)
