# 21~NINETEEN & TWENTY~ BIBLE NUMBER MEANINGS 3-12-12

NINETEEN is the number of FAITH. NINETEEN is found 3 times in our KJ Bible.

There are NINETEEN different persons referred to in Hebrews 11-1-32, although the name of Joshua is not mentioned in verse 30, he was the leader of Israel at the overthrow of Jericho so he must be included.

Vs.30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

Joshua was the leader of Israel at that time.

Here is the list of the NINETEEN names in the FAITH chapter of Hebrews.

1. We -verse 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,

2. Abel - Verse 4 11. Joshua - Verse 30-not mentioned but was the leader

3. Enoch - Verse 5 12. Rahab - Verse 31

4. Noah - Verse 7 13 Gideon - Verse 32

5. Abraham - Verse 8 14 Barak - Verse 32

6. Sarah - Verse 11 15 Samson - Verse 32

7. Isaac - Verse 20 16 Jephthae - Verse 32

8. Jacob - Verse 21 17 David - Verse 32

9. Joseph - Verse 22 18 Samuel - Verse 32

10. Moses - Verse 23 19 the Prophets -Vs. 32

-------

NOTICE- Moses is the TENTH. TEN is the number that represents the LAW, and "The LAW was given by Moses." John 1:17.

----

Abel is found in number TWO, which is the number for DIVISION. It is said that he offered a more excellent sacrifice than Cain. This led to division between him and Cain. Between RIGHT and WRONG, between GODS WAY and MANS WAY.

-------

Enoch is found in number THREE, the number for RESURRECTION, Enoch’s translation foreshadows the translation of the living saints at the rapture.

----

Noah is the FOURTH mentioned in the list of NINETEEN found in Hebrews chapter eleven, and number FOUR is the number for the WORLD, which was destroyed in Noah’s time.

-------

Abraham is number FIVE in the list, FIVE represents GRACE. He and his seed are to be heirs by grace.

Jacob who is number EIGHT in the list, and EIGHT is the number for the NEW BIRTH, he was the second born of twins. - This represents the SECOND BIRTH, or the NEW BIRTH.

----

The name of Joseph is number NINE in the list, representing the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT (Gal.5:22-23)

Jacob prophesied of Joseph in Genesis 49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

----

David is the SEVENTEENTH listed in the heroes of faith.

This is the number for VICTORY. David was victorious over all his enemies. 2nd Samuel 7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

----

In Heb.11:3 we read, Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, --

So it is through faith that we UNDERSTAND.

In Rom. 1:29-31 Paul charges sinful men with TWENTY THREE things. The NINETEENTH charge he brings against them is being "without UNDERSTANDING."

Being without FAITH, which is represented by the number NINETEEN, they are without UNDERSTANDING, for it is by FAITH that men understand.

TWENTY

The number TWENTY is found 341 times in our KJ Bible and it stands for REDEMPTION, as well as EXPECTACY.

The males of the children of Israel had to offer a ransom for their souls at the age of TWENTY.

In connection with this ransom TWENTY gerahs are mentioned. A shekel is twenty gerahs.

Every person from twenty years old and above was required to give half a shekel of silver, termed a ransom for his soul; Silver is the metal of redemption and a type of redemption.

Exodus 30:11-14 11And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 12When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them. 13This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD. 14Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.

This they did only ONCE, we can be REDEEMED only once. "REDEEMED" means, bought back.

The money that was given for their RANSOM was made of SILVER. SILVER is a symbol of REDEMPTION.

--------

SILVER money was used to make the 100 silver sockets in the Tabernacle, and the SILVER fillets and hooks for the pillars of the court.
