THE OMISSION OF HOPE? HOPELESS, HELPLESS, DOOMED…

SEEMS MANY LOVE PIGS MOORE THAN THEY LOVE LOST PEOPLE.

JESUS HAD A LESSON TO TEACH THE DEVILS AND DEMONS. SOON EVIL WOULD LEARN JESUS SHALL REIGN IN THE REALM IN GREAT VICTORY.

Evil made a choice to love swine and BE GONE JESUS… THE CHOICE OF BEING HOPELESS AND HELPLESS,

Mark 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. 16. And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. 17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. 18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. 19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

My Dad, Wade M. Hughes lived to be 90. He pastored 65 years, 42 years at West Frankfort Church, Frankfort, Kentucky. Dad was my pastor 25 years. I have pastored 45 years, 35 here in Smiths Grove, Ky. Many know I am in a battle with bone cancer 3 months, 3 surgeries. I am 72. The last few years of my dad’s life, before I left his house, I asked Dad and my pastor to pray for me and bless me. One time he quoted William Cullen Bryant poem: THANSTOPSISIS.

WE MUST LEARN TO VALUE ETERNITIES VALUES. HOPE IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. WILL WE HEAR THE CALL TO BE A HOPE GIVER?

HOPE: optimistic state of mind based on expectation of a positive outcome. We must see all challenges as opportunities. BAD IS NOT FOREVER. GOD IS CALLING YOU TO BRING HOPE TO THE HOPELESS.

Beware our TERRITORIAL RIGHTS CAN BE STOLEN.

FAITH AND HOPE MAKE LIVE WORTH LIVING.

It becomes our spiritual duty to maintain our assurance of hope.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1 (MSG) The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see.

Hebrews 11:1 (NLT2) Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

Hebrews 11:1 (ESV) Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

WE MUST COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH,,,, WE ASK THREE QUESTION: IS GOD NEUTRAL TOWARD ME? IS GOD AGAINST ME? OR IS GOD FO ME.

WE MUST ACCEPT AND ACKNOWLEDGE GOD IS WITH US. Can God do this? Can God do this for me? Will God do this for me? HOPE MUST GIVE BIRTH TO TRUSTING GOD. TRUST AND HOPE ACKNOWLEDGE GOD IS WITH US.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

If we believe the Bible is truth we must ACKNOWLEDGE GOD is with me. GOD WILL NOT WITHHOLD ANY GOOD THING FROM US.

Psalm 18:1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

WE MUST NEVER EVER DOUBT GOD WILL NEVER WITHHOLD ANY GOOD THING FROM YOU.

Psalm 84:11 (ESV) For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
