Summary: Christians receive spiritual blessings from God that inspire praise.
I. Believers should praise God for the spiritual blessing of being chosen in Christ (1:4-6).
A. Chosen in Christ before creation
B. Chosen in Christ to be holy
C. Chosen in Christ to be blameless
D. Chosen in Christ out of love
E. Chosen in Christ for adoption
F. Chosen in Christ for His glory
II. Believers should praise God for the spiritual blessing of being redeemed in Christ (1:7-12).
A. Redeemed in Christ through His blood (1:7a)
B. Redeemed in Christ with forgiveness (1:7b)
C. Redeemed in Christ by grace (1:7c-12)
III. Believers should praise God for the spiritual blessing of being sealed in Christ (1:13-14).
A. Sealed in Christ by the gospel through the gospel (1:13a)
B. Sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit (1:13b)
C. Sealed in Christ for an inheritance (1:14)
