For Unto Us Series

Christmas Day what a joy to be here, I don’t mean specifically here n the building but here on Christmas Day!

Christmas Day 2011 for me is one on which I breathe a huge sigh of relief and say “thank you God!”

We have made it through what for many of us will be one of the toughest years, I salute you all for sticking with it, well done!

Now the reason we are here today is down to the Lord of All, The Creator of the Universe, the King of King’s and the Lord of Lord’s, seeing fit that we might be saved through by grace through the life of his only begotten son, Jesus.

Whose birth that was awaited for generation after generation of believers since it was spoken of through the prophets.

The prophet Isaiah spoke these words: read Isaiah 9:1-7.

Like our arrival here today after what has been a pretty rugged year; the people walking in the darkness saw that great light, with the birth of Jesus the light of a new beginning dawned, the nation increased as gentiles were added to the number of those following the One True God.

As the Holy Spirit moved in broken lives their joy increased. Burdens of sin were lifted and peace enveloped those whose lives were damaged and broken.

For to us God’s Son was born, to us His Son was given, as we allowed His Lordship of our lives, we gained citizenship of His Kingdom.

Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.

There will be no end to what He will do in our lives, to the peace we find in Him as we align our lives to His will.

Jesus this child we celebrate the birth of, has set us free, and He reigns upholding justice and righteousness. The sins we have repented of are all forgiven and we are right with God, because of what He has done for us.

He will continue to do this for all who confess and give Him Lordship of their lives forever.

The zeal of the Lord Almighty, has and will accomplish this.

Tell all who will listen, so that they too can breathe a huge sigh of relief and say “thank you God.”
