Summary: Trust Jesus amidst of all the storms of life.

Many people think that having faith in God means abandoning our own strength and abilities, but I say to you that having faith in God means trusting in the strength and abilities He has given you.

In Psalm 138:8, it says "The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O God, endures forever." God has a plan and purpose for each and every one of us, and He has equipped us with unique talents and gifts to fulfill that purpose. Believing in yourself means trusting in the potential God has placed within you.

But, as Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We are limited, flawed, and prone to sin, but God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfect. Believing in God means recognizing His sovereignty and wisdom, and trusting that His plan is greater than our own.

Many of us struggle with doubts and fears, wondering if we are enough, if we can handle the challenges that come our way. But I want to remind you that the Bible tells us that with God, all things are possible.

Believing in yourself means trusting that you are a unique individual, created in the image of God, with talents and gifts that no one else has. It means recognizing your strengths and abilities and using them to serve others and glorify God. But believing in yourself alone can only take you so far.

Believing in God means trusting that He is who He says He is - a loving, faithful, and all-powerful God who is always working for our good. It means recognizing that we are not limited by our own abilities, but that God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask or think.

So, I urge you to believe in yourself, not as a self-sufficient individual, but as a vessel of God, filled with His Spirit and empowered by His might. And I urge you to believe in God, not just as a distant deity, but as a personal Savior and friend who desires to guide and direct you.

May we find the balance between believing in ourselves and believing in God, and may we walk in faith, knowing that with Him, all things are possible.

So, I urge you to believe in yourself, not in your own strength or abilities, but in the strength and abilities God has given you. And I urge you to believe in God, not just as a distant observer, but as an intimate partner in your life who desires to guide and direct you. May we find the balance between believing in ourselves and believing in God, and may we walk in faith, knowing that He is always with us. Amen.
