Summary: Our God is personal and loving, but we should see HIM in His Highest Majesty. He is in royalty and greatness, in all of His beauty and glory.

The word 'majesty' is often misundrstood as well as under-rated in the Bible. It is used in the Bible 44 times referring to God's nature. Isaiah the prophet was in the temple and said these words, "The Lord sitting on the throne, high and lifted up , and His train filled the temple . . . the whole earth is filled with His glory. . "

In the New Testament, the kings that came to see the baby Jesus were called "magi" which were kings of royalty and 'majesty' comes from 'magi.' Majesty then refers to greatness like seeing a 5 Star General in the flesh.

When it speaks of God's greatness then, it is referring to His reigning, His beauty dressed in robes, His voice in power, His splendor as majestic! Queen Esther saw "The kingdom as glorious and in his riches in His majesty." (Esther 1 4). David saw the voice of God as majestic and powerful (Psalms 8).

Majesty is defined as greatness in appearance and dignity, what inspires in awe. Our God is truly majestic and worthy of our obedience, our adoration, our praise and our love , and our prayers, our time, all of the time! He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

When we recognize His majesty like King David did, He alos recognized His authority over him and we as well should too. If He has the authority then we will reflect our actions of daily living in doing His will.

Conclusion:

Jack Hayford wrote the praise song back in the '70's as he and his wife were traveling the roads of Great Britain, Wales and Scotland and saw many of the castles throughout the lands in 1977. They wrote down the words of the song called "Majesty" and brought it back to America and sang it at some of the Evangelistic meetings and the youth loved singing it as it became published in the song books.

"Majesty ---- Worship His majesty! Unto Jesus be Glory...Honor ... and Praise . .

Majesty ---- Kingdom, Authority . . . Flows from His Throne .. Unto His own . . .

. . . . His Anthem Praise ---- So exalt . . . Lift up on High the Name of Jesus . . .

Magnify, Come Glorify Christ Jesus the King

Majesty, Worship, His Majesty . . . Jesus, who died, Now glorified.

Now, Michael W. Smith and Ron Konally and Hillsong sing that to thousands of audiences around the world, " MAJESTY!" Amen.
