INTRODUCTION

The underlying theme Paul keeps referring to in chapters 8-10 is responsibility. As a Christian, Paul says, our two main priorities are considering others and glorifying God. In our text, Paul presents three ways we can accept our responsibility and give glory to God.

MAIN BODY

I. Consider the Consequences of your Actions. (1 Cor. 10:31 – 32)

A. Consider your neighbor.

1. Who is your neighbor?

2. Luke 10: 25:37 – The Good Samaritan.

B. Consider the church. Rom. 14:13, 19 – 21

II. Become Selfless in your Actions. (1 Cor. 10:33)

A. We should be driven by a desire to save the lost. 1 Cor. 9:22 – 23

B. Our goal is not individual edification but mutual edification. Rom. 15: 1 – 3a

III. Be an Example for Others to Follow. (1 Cor. 11:1)

A. Others should be able to look to us as they seek Christ. Matt. 5:14 – 16

B. We should all be imitators of Christ. 1 Peter 2:21 – 23

CONCLUSION

The way we live our lives is important. Christians should strive to be examples for others to follow as they seek to follow Christ.
