The Fallen Church. Series

Today, Iam going to address a critical issue affecting many churches these days, the danger of becoming a fallen church. In Revelation 3:14-22, Jesus Christ rebukes the church in Laodicea, warning them of the consequences of their spiritual complacency. Let's examine the characteristics of a fallen church and the need for revival.

Characteristics of a Fallen Church:

1. Lukewarmness (Revelation 3:15-17)

2. Complacency and self-sufficiency (Revelation 3:17)

3. Spiritual blindness (Revelation 3:17)

4. Lack of passion and zeal for God (Revelation 3:19)

5. Tolerance of sin and compromise (Revelation 3:20)

6. Neglect of discipleship and spiritual growth (Matthew 28:18-20)

7. Focus on external appearances rather than inner spiritual life (Matthew 23:27-28)

Revival needed:

1. Return to God with repentance and humility (Revelation 3:19-20)

2. Renew your commitment to God's Word and obedience (2 Timothy 2:15)

3. Revive personal and corporate prayer (Acts 2:42)

4. Seek spiritual growth and maturity (Hebrews 6:1-3)

5. Embrace accountability and discipline within the church (Matthew 18:15-17)

6. Focus on inner spiritual life and holiness (Matthew 5:6)

7. Share the gospel and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20)

Let us heed Jesus' warning and examine our hearts and our church. Are we spiritually complacent or zealous for God? Do we need revival? Let us return to God, renew our commitment to His Word, and seek His presence and power in our lives and in our church.
