POWER OVER THE SERPENT

Genesis 3:15: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel”

Luke 10:19: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”

Psalm 91:13: “Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet”

Rev. 12:7-9,1: “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him… “

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

From Genesis 3:15, we can infer three things.

First, God curse the Serpent and put enmity between the seeds of the serpent and the seeds of the woman. So, whether you like it or not you have an enemy. If you have not known before your enemy is the Serpent.

Second, God empowered the Serpent to bruise the heel of the seeds of the woman. An interestingly thing is that the Serpent has been dutifully exercising his responsibility. This explains why there is so much evil in the world. A lot of people dispute the existence of God because of the prevalence of evil occurrences, the truth is that God has given power to the serpent to cause havoc and evil.

Third, the good news is that God also gave His Children power to crush the head of the Serpent. While the Serpent merely has power to bruise our heel, we have power to stop him from brushing our heel by crushing his head. Unfortunately, while the Serpent is always going to and from exercising his powers throughout the world particularly against believers, most Christians seldom exercise their divine powers over the Serpent.

Who is the Serpent and who is the seed of the woman? The Serpent is that ancient dragon known as Lucifer, Satan. And the seeds of the woman are Children of God. The Serpent fights the seeds of the woman and bruises their heels in various ways, and manifests as poverty, bareness, failures, diseases and the like.

If you carefully Study Rev. 12:12, you will discover that the Serpent is destined to fight the seeds of the woman, and the Bible says: ‘Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time”

The Serpent has bitten our lives in several ways without our Knowledge. Today, knowledge is setting you free in Jesus name. Are you into any problem that seems beyond the ordinary? It is simply because you have refused to crush the head of the Serpent as God commanded you. Today, we are going to exercise our divine power over the Serpent. God will not crush the serpent for you. You have to crush the enemy yourself.

If you are ones of those who believe that you do not have to pray against Satan, because Jesus had defeated Satan on the cross, you are merely displaying your ignorance or using that as an excuse for your laziness to pray. What the death and resurrection of Jesus did is to give you all powers to trample and overcome the Serpents and Scorpions. You must exercise that power, if now the Serpent will continue bruising your heel in spite of your born again status.

An effective way of crushing the Serpent is through fervent prayers. While praying to crush the serpent, you cannot afford to pray like a gentleman or lady; you have to be violent in your spirit and aggressive in your prayer pattern. God has give you power to trample on snakes and scorpions. Exercise that power now!.

Start by giving your life to Jesus you is the only person that can empower you to overcome the devil.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more. I accept your plan to reconcile mankind to you through Jesus Christ, who you sent in your name. I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins and redeem me.
