As we begin a new year It’s a good time to talk about planning you know the Bible talks a lot about planning.

He told Moses the plan to get them out of Egypt.

Then the temple.

Just look at the Old Testament and see the planning of the temple the detail even before one thing was done.

Then how life was to be done day to day.

James 4:13

God planed special events for the people events with meaning.

So we should plan our events with meaning.

The planning

Right from the beginning God had a plan and it is still unfolding.

He has a plan for you life, for you family for you. It says in epn

Eph 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Prepared or planed

Yes we are to live one day at a time but we are also to plan. Some one said if you don’t plan you plan to fail. Besides planning will take a lot of stress out of your life

Ok lets look at a few scriptures.

Turn to

Pr 21:5 ¶ Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. (MES)

Wow it good to plan both short and long range plans. How will you know if you really accomplished something if you don’t plan?

As a church we have a five year plan an this year we will together learn to plan this year coming up. And we plan each week as well.

We have studied god’s purposes for us and our church we have the vision. No it will be easy with God’s help

Just look at

Pr 24:6 Strategic planning is the key to warfare; to win, you need a lot of good counsel.

Then Jesus said what man build a house ok lets look at it.

A few things plan count the cost, work the

Some one has also said plan the and work the plan.

Lu 14:28 "Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it?

Let’s look at some the Scriptures and see what they tell us about planning

Ps 33:11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Mes

Ac 2:23 this Jesus, following the deliberate and well-thought-out plan of God, was betrayed by men who took the law into their own hands, and was handed over to you. And you pinned him to a cross and killed him. Mes

Pr 14:18 ¶ The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Mes

Pr 16:1 ¶ The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD. Mes

Pr 16:9 ¶ A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Pr 20:4 ¶ The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; [therefore] shall he beg in harvest, and [have] nothing.

So to sum up

God plans and his plans come to pass

He tells us to plan buy he directs our path

We should make short and long ranch plans

We should have lots of council with our plans

We need to carry out the plans.

We need to make wise plans with in the vision God has given us.

So this is our plan this week we are asking all of us to pray a lot and ask God what are some of the plans he wants for this year. With in the vision he has given us. So you see when you get some measure it with the bible and the know vision.

Also we already know form the five year plan some things we just need to schedule in. so think about those as well.

Also pray and ask God to help you be committed to working the plan and what your part is in it.

Then phone some one and share what you got and talk it over and refine what you both have and be prepared to share next week.

Write down anything you get and be prepared for next week

Next Sunday after the regular service we ill have a lunch in our redone basement YEA GOD and then will will have a planning session together so whoever can make it please stay also a to l please bring a main dish and mto z pleas bring a salad or dessert.
