"My God""

How many of you have ever heard a statements such as "my God would never judge someone" or "My God would never let people suffer". My God would never send someone to hell!" Well, I've got news for you, you're probably right. Your god is one you have created in your own mind. And your god is not going to do anything that you don't believe he should, because he is your god.

However, if we are talking about the true God, then I have news for you. Wake up! you are trying to make the God of the universe fit in your pocket, in your mind. Do you think you can really do that? The god you have made in your mind is idolatry. Plain and simple, you are worshipping a god that doesn't exist. Isaiah 45:5-7 says "5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

The true God is a righteous and Just God, which means he judges justly and in righteousness. My god is a loving compassionate god. So is the real God, that is why He provided a means for forgiveness. Your god does not judge, the Word of God says Psalm 9:7 " 7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment." "8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. " "16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah." Deut 32:4 "4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he."Matt 5:21-22 "21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire;" 12:36 " 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." Heb 9:27 "27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

Well, that means that God doesn't judge us until we die, right? In Exodus 12:12 "12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD." The true God does judge, justly, and in rigteousness. He judges as while we are here in this life. He punished Israel for their sins of idolatry. He judged them! In numbers 16 we read about Korah, Dathan , and Abiram, these men tried to stir the people against Moses and Aaron. They took a stand against God and the earth swallowed them up. Sounds to me like God judged them and executed them.

Here's their argument of those who say their god doesn't judge, John 5:22 "For the Father judgeth no man, ....." oh wait there is more to that verse, "but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:"

What about God allowing suffering? I could go on and on about examples of God allowing His people to suffer in slavery and captivity. I could talk about the martyrdom of the apostles. But I got one name for you "Job" Does the real God allow suffering? Yes He does! If your god doesn't, you have made a god in your image. Remember the Bible says that God made man in His image!

My god would never send someone to hell! Really? You've got to be kidding, Rev 20:11-15 "11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
