1 Thessalonians 4:1

Living to Please God

4 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.

Ang Buhay na Nakalulugod sa Diyos

4 Kaya nga, mga kapatid, isa pang bagay ang ipinapakiusap namin at ipinapayo sa inyo sa pangalan ng Panginoong Jesus. Sana'y lalo pa ninyong pagbutihin ang inyong pamumuhay ngayon, sang-ayon sa inyong natutunan sa amin, upang kayo'y maging kalugud-lugod sa Diyos.

Introduction :

Itaas pa ang Kahusayan mo (sa iyo) – promote excellence

Maging MAHUSAY – in your chosen field (sa iyong ginagawa, Gawain , Trabaho o Hanapbuhay)

they do more than is asked, and they take extra steps in ensure the highest quality.

Colossians 3:23-24

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward."

23 Anuman ang inyong ginagawa, gawin ninyo nang buong puso na parang sa Panginoon kayo naglilingkod at hindi sa mga tao. 24 Sapagkat si Cristo ang Panginoong pinaglilingkuran ninyo at alalahanin ninyong pagkakalooban kayo ng Panginoon ng gantimpalang inilaan niya para sa inyo.

Therefore, we are called to strive for excellence in order to be the best testimony for the Lord that we can be.

Non-Christians are watching to see what kind of a difference Jesus is making in your life, and you can point others to Him by being diligent in your tasks and being above reproach in your ethics.

Excellence does not necessarily mean the absence of mistakes,

but it does mean the presence of faith and determination.

To be excellent at whatever God has called you to do, you must

First, ask God for strength to accomplish the task and then, (humingi sa Diyos ng Karunungan,

lakas at Kakayanan)

secondly, His endurance to complete it. (Katatagan, para makatapos ng matagumpay)

A person who strives for excellence doesn't give up when he makes mistakes, and he doesn't avoid tasks for fear of failure. (hindi sumusuko kahit magkamali, muling sumusubok ng mas mahusay)

Andrew Carnegie said that "An average person puts only 25% of their energy and ability into their work. The world takes its hat off to those who put more than 50% capacity in (respect), and stands on its head to those few and far between souls who devote 100%." (standing ovation)

Ano-ano ang mga area ng buhay natin, na nilalapatan natin ng ating Best Effort , Kahusayan

a.Trabaho (kahit ano pa yan, mababa o mataas na trabaho, may posisyon ka man o wala),

Sa trabaho, di ka nagpapa-late pumasok… Inaayos mo trabaho.

b.Kabuhayan,

c.Pag-aaral, nag-eexcel ka, ayaw mo ng 3 lang o 75 lang na grade, dapat 90pataas

d.Ministry (paglilingkod natin kay Lord),

Sa church, di ka nagpapa-late, specially kapag meron kang bahagi

To every visitors in the church, we represent the church here and, online

We must excel

Huwag mong ibaba ang Husay mo , pag nasa Church ka, dapat inaalay mo sa Diyos

ang husay na binigay sa iyo ni Lord…

e.Being Parents or Tatay /Nanay

f.At kung ano pang mga bagay tulad ng Sports or Hobbies. (sa mga kabataan, huwag lang magaling sa Gaming, dapat magaling ka rin sa gawaing BAHAY)

g. Even in our personal Hygiene, di kailangan ng maraming pera , para maging malinis at mabango.

Ayusin ang sarili, huwag magmukang kaawa-awa, we represent the Lord in our life.

Magsuklay, mag-polbo kung kinakailangan, mag-toothbrush, mag-deodorant, plantsahin ang damit (hindi ito nangangailangan ng pambayad, kayang-kaya mo yan sa iyong sarili)

That is who you are. (that’s how you represent yourself and your Lord)

Tandaan natin, bawat Area ng Life, andon ang leading ni Lord.

Di natin pwede sabihin na pag lang Ministry/church, andon ang leading ni Lord.

Pero kapag secular work, ako na bahala, wala si Lord.

Sometimes may mga Professional or sa Secular Work natin, (sa mga Empleyado or Professional) we strive for Excellence, pero pagdating sa Ministry, we ignore , we don’t put much effort

We take for granted si Lord, May Ministry o wala, maglingkod kay Lord o Hindi… (we don’t care)

Anuman tayo sa Labas ng Church, dapat ang aim natin, meron tayong bahagi sa ubasan ng Panginoon. Hanapin mo ang bahagi mo sa katawan ni Kristo , siguradong meron ka…

Sa Colossas 3:23 – “Anuman ang inyong ginagawa…” Secular work man o Paglilingkod kay Lord
