What Jesus was Made #2

Jesus Was Made of Woman, Under the Law

Gal 4.14

The first man Adam was made by God out of the dust of the earth and God said it was not good for man to be alone so God put Adam asleep and removed a rib and made the first woman, Eve.

Through the union of a man and woman children were born.

But Jesus birth was not out of a union between a man and a woman, Jesus was virgin born.

You and I must believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ otherwise Jesus would have been born in sin and could not be the supreme sacrifice for sin, but He was virgin born.

Jesus was Made of a Woman.

As we studied last week Jesus was made flesh, Made of a woman.

Almost always in scripture children are spoken of by the seed of their father but Jesus was born of a woman.

Gen. 3.15 God speaking to the serpent that tempted the first parents to sin, gave a prophetic promise

Ge 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Notice the words, thy seed and her seed, and that seed shall bruise thy head and because of stomping you will get from that seed it will bruise his heel.

Jesus was made of a Woman

Luke 1 tells that a virgin by the name of Mary was told that the HG shall overshadow you and you will conceive in your womb and the child shall be called Jesus. Isa. 7.14 is the prophecy.

Secondly looking back at Gal 4.4 Jesus was Made Under the Law.

Jesus who was the Word Made Flesh, Made of a Woman but made under the Law.

Jesus became subject to the Law He had made. He was circumcised according to the law, an offering was presented in accordance to the law.

Being made under the Law, He was obedient to that law to bring about salvation for mankind.

Heb 10:7 ¶ Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,)to do thy will, O God.

:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and [offering] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure [therein]; which are offered by the law;

:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].

V7 the volume of the book it is written of me, referring to the law.

He was the fulfillment of the law of sacrifice for sin.

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

:14 ¶ For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us];

:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, [so] making peace;

:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

V13 In Christ, made of Woman Made Under the Law

V14 He is our peace, Why? Because He broke down the Wall which was the Law.

V15 says He abolished in His Flesh the Law Making Peace For Us

V16 bringing us back to God by the Cross

V17 & 18 Being made the law, Jesus,

we hear the Gospel preached and believe,

we now have access to God,

We now have peace,

we now have eternal life.

Ro 8:1 ¶ [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

V2 made me free by the life of Jesus, Made Under the Law
