Acts 2:22-47 God Save The king

1. The Condemnation of the King - 22 men of Israel, hear these words

His Identity - Jesus of Nazareth,

His Activity - a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs,

His Authority - which God did by him in the midst of you,

as ye yourselves also know:

His Humanity - 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God,

His Humility - ye have taken, & by wicked hands have crucified & slain

2. The Coronation of the King

Divinely Raised - 24 whom God hath raised up,

Divinely Released - having loosed the pains of death:

Divinely Revealed - it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Divinely Reclaimed -

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

3. The Confirmation of the King

His - Place 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and

Prize - having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost

Present - he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

4. The Commendation of the King

The Expectation - 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens:

The Explanation - but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord,

Sit thou on my right hand, 35 until I make thy foes thy footstool.

The Exhortation - 36 let all the house of Israel know assuredly,

The Exaltation - that God hath made that same Jesus,

whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

5. The Confrontation of the King

The Contention -

The Certainty of His Crowning -

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly,

Sovereignty of His Crowning - that God hath made that same Jesus

The Solemnity of His Crowning - whom ye have crucified,

The Supremacy of His Crowning - both Lord and Christ.

The Conviction - It's Rebuke - 37 Now when they heard this,

It's Reproof - they were pricked in their heart,

It's Request - and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles,

Men and brethren, what shall we do?

It's Response - It's Punctual - 37 Now when they heard this,

It's Powerful - they were pricked in their heart,

It's Pivotal - and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles,

It's Practical - Men and brethren, what shall we do?

The Conversion - There Is Only -

One Course - 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized

One Call - every one of you

One Cause - in the name of Jesus Christ

One Cure - for the remission of sins,

6. The Contribution of the King

It's Promise - 38 and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

It's Provision -

It's Personal - 39 For the promise is unto you,

It's Perpetual - and to your children,

It's Plentiful - and to all that are afar off,

It's Paternal - even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

It's Profit - 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:

It's Production - 41 and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

7. The Celebration of the King - It Was -

Continual - 46 they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple,

Communal - and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Commendable 47 praising God, and having favour with all the people

Crucial & the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved
