Why did Jesus come to Earth? What difference did it make if He fulfilled the Law and the Prophets or not? In what way(s) did He fulfill the Law and the Prophets? Since the law was not abolished what does that mean to us today?

Jesus said that He did not come to earth to bring peace but a sword! If that's true, how can He be the Prince of Peace we celebrate at Christmas time? Does He really intend to divide families or bring reconciliation?

The account of Jesus calling Matthew to be a disciple and His encounter with Zacchaeus are so similar even though one occurs at the beginning of Jesus' ministry and the other near the end. the consistency of Jesus' ministry was amazingly focused-salvation
