Is the Lord's Prayer from Matthew 6 really a prayer that Jesus intended us to memorize and repeat often? Is it just a pattern for prayer - This sermon investigates Matthew 6:9-10.

"Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors:" When we think of forgiveness we usually think about who we have to forgive. Rarely do we remember that unforgiveness is a sin that we are committing when we refuse to forgive.

This sermon covers, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." The main emphasis is on "deliver us from evil." Many Christians boldly and repeatedly boast that, "We are all sinners." So, can God really deliver us from evil (sin) or can't He?

"for Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen!" Whoa! We know this is true but why is it in some Bibles and not others? Are there some Bibles that are better than others? Were errors made? Should we fight over them? Lord please help us!

Our Father in Heaven, Holy Is Your Name. How do we start our our prayers? Do we just rush right in without acknowledging Who we are addressing. Do we come with gratitude and with reverence and awe? Or do we just barge right in with demands?

Should we be celebrating with the disciples who were waving palm branches and shouting "Hosanna to the Son of David" or should we be weeping over Jerusalem like Jesus? This naturally combines with "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done ..." from the Lord's prayer.

The phrase, "For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen" is only found in about half of Bible translations. Why is that? Are some people take it out or did someone add it in? And, what does that have to do with Mother's Day???
