2. Love: Overcoming My Ego
Contributed on Feb 4, 2023
It’s when you embrace humility and love humility you’ll not only make progress toward humility, but you’ll be a long way down the road toward experiencing real love. Instead of seeking recognition in a relationship, know you are already loved and valued by Christ.
Last Sunday, we began a series devoted to bringing the change into our lives that we’ve always longed for. Joy is the normal condition for believers. In the quiet of this moment, identify your source of happiness for a moment. Ask yourself, “What made me happy that is now missing in my life?” What fire have I been warming myself at instead of Jesus?
Happy Father’s Day to all! Dads and granddads, we greatly appreciate you! Good Morning to our Cross Church family meeting at Nance Elementary again this morning. 5. Patience: Overcoming The Frenzied Life
Contributed on Feb 5, 2023
By a show of hands, are you by nature a patient person? If you were to assign a percentage to your level of patience, what would it be? Is anyone at 100% on the patience level? Let me encourage you today by saying this no one is born patient. For patience is a work of the Holy Spirit.
When you see a patient person, you’ve seen something rare. For it takes supernatural power to be patient. We live in a world obsessed with speed. We become angry if the video doesn’t download immediately or the fast food lines take too long. And who likes waiting in a doctor’s office, or waiting ...read more

Kamran was a violent man who sold drugs & weapons in Iran. A friend gave him a New Testament, & for 5 consecutive days, Kamran devoured it. He soon gave his life to Christ. Where Kamran used to sell drugs and weapons, a church now met in his home.
It seems as if corruption and scandal is everywhere these days. Goodness and faithfulness are rare commodities in our day. If goodness and faithfulness were sold on the mercantile exchange in Chicago, their very rarity would cause their prices to soar to unprecedented heights. Scandals are ...read more

8. Self Control
Contributed on Feb 22, 2023
There are really two halves to today’s message. First, I want to speak on the importance and need for growth in a believer’s life, and second is the importance of self-control.
Do you have everything under control? I mean everything within you – do you all of you in control? Let me just get real serious, real quick here: what is the one item in your life you have trouble controlling? Do you have total self-control in the area of food? Drink? Sex? Your tongue? Today, I ...read more
