Scripture says that a true believer will be persecuted in many ways. Some are mocked for their faith, some are tortured, some are put in prisons and some are killed for their faith.
Even Apostle Paul warned in 2 Timothy 3:12 that "Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
