What did God see in Gideon that He visited him and chose him to be the judge of Israel? These are qualities that God desires of us as His children and may we too strive to be those whom God can use to bless those around us.

We live in chaotic times where it’s hard to decipher truth from falsehood. We need God’s grace, discernment and a comprehension of His amazing love to stay on track and stay close to Jesus.

Anyone who believes in Jesus, can experience the wonderful transformation and freedom from sin that Jesus offers. Gideon’s experience foreshadows the judgement, salvation, grace, truth and great exchange that took place at the cross of Calvary through our Lord Jesus.
We read in Judges 6:11, “Then the LORD's angel came to the village of Ophrah and sat under the oak tree that belonged to Joash, a man of the clan of Abiezer. 4. Sermon # 4 - Emptied To Be Empowered

If we want God to be glorified in our lives, we must lean on Him completely, empty ourselves of everything we hold on to so that the Holy Spirit can empower us and God can be glorified in and though our lives.
We read in Isaiah 26:3, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” This verse speaks about the perfect peace that we can enjoy in our lives.
