Jesus has given leaders to the church who are called to a lead through their Christian character and example; it is not a calling that all desire because it comes with great responsibility. It is also a calling that requires great respect.

The call to develop the spiritual life of young people, even really young people, is a call clearly found in the Scripture. This call happens because God wants us to know him from infancy and he has a plan for us from infancy.

Sometimes Christians treat the church as an emergency service … a place to go when you need spiritual help and security, but to be avoided when all is well. But the church is the only institution which can stand against the gates of Hades. Therefore church is an essential service.

In order to have life – real life, the God’s life which is a qualitatively different life – we must believe and put our faith in Jesus Christ who is the Bread of Life. In the life of the church the Lord’s Supper is a celebration of this transformative reality.
