1. The Church Beyond The Church Walls: Even Dead Dogs!
Contributed on Mar 25, 2014
Why Jesus saved me, I have NO idea. It surely wasn't because I was a good person. The story of David's love for his best friend Jonathan is shown in the love shown toward Jonathan's son Mephebosheth. This beautiful story shows how God saves anyone!
The Church Beyond The Church Walls Part II: Even Dead Dogs! Love God...Love Family...Love The Brotherhood...Love Others! We've been on a journey here at Resurrection for the past two months this being the ninth message in this series, Kindred United. The overarching idea is that we must, as ...read more

2. The Church Beyond The Church Walls: Just For The 'religious'
Contributed on Mar 25, 2014
The final sermon in the Kindred United Series, this sermon shows the difference between "religion" and "relationship", and shows how we should do more than just sit in a pew on Sunday; we should serve others in need, and do so in love.
Beyond The Church Walls--Just For The Religious This week, we wrap up the teaching series "Kindred United". This series, nine messages in all, ended up going much longer than I had expected. We have learned, first of all, that the overarching thought of "loving God, loving others" starts with ...read more

3. Kindred United
Contributed on Dec 31, 2013
A look backward at our church at failure, but a look forward to what our church can be with the first church in Acts 2 as a model
I have been pastoring this church, as either Resurrection Bible Church or as Victory Bible Church in its early form, since January 2, 2000. I have to say that it has been an interesting ride, with highs and lows and a lot of in between. Those of us that pastor rural churches pretty much have a ...read more

4. Why We Forgive
Contributed on Jan 5, 2014
Based on Dr. John A. McArthur's book "The Freedom and Power of Forgiveness" in reading or hearing this message we learn that we are nothing less than hypocrites when we do not forgive. For more information on this topic, read MacArthur's book! (1/5/14)
**I preached this sermon, based upon concepts from John MacArthur's book "The Freedom and Power of Forgiveness", originally in 1999. Since then, I have preached it a few times and have modified it to fit in a devotional format. Over the next few weeks, we will discuss the topic of forgiveness, ...read more

5. Kindred United: God First, Everything Else Second
Contributed on Jan 12, 2014
Do we REALLY love God, or just giving God and others lip service?
Back in 2012, we had a three part message series on the year's theme DRIVEN. I find that for us to be united as brethren here in our church, we need to use these same principles. Thus, we are going through these same three messages then one more message beyond that, and finally, Lord willing, back ...read more

6. Loving Others...family First!
Contributed on Jan 20, 2014
We are to love God first and foremost, and love our neighbors as ourselves. But we must love our family first by loving them in order, by discipline, by providing, by example and by taking time. Part 1 of 2, sermon number 4 in the Kindred United series
Loving Others...Family First! Over the next two weeks, we will focus on the family (no pun intended) and how we should have a love for family right after our love for God. To discuss the theology of the family, and the full depth, breadth and scope of that topic would take much time, and is ...read more

8. Thank God I Totaled My Car!
Contributed on Feb 8, 2014
How can one find blessing in wrecking their car? You might be surprised to find out...and blessed.
I've been preaching for a while, in my 18th year of preaching. I've been around the block so to speak, but I don't claim to anyone special--just a man called to work for the Master. But being in ministry for more than just a few years does give a man experience in both the good and the bad--but is ...read more

9. Loving The Brotherhood
Contributed on Feb 16, 2014
The Seventh message in the Kindred United series, this message follows the principle that God is first, Family is second and the brethren are third. This message is based predominently upon 1 John 3.
Kindred United: Love The Brotherhood So far in the Kindred United series, we have studied how God must come first, then family and now we study how church family comes third. Next week, we will begin studying how we need to love others, with a special emphasis on one particular group that is, ...read more

10. The Church Beyond The Church Walls
Contributed on Mar 3, 2014
Our life is a series of "divine appointments" as Christians. While most people think that most ministry is done by "superstars" of the faith or by megachurches, in truth the bulk of Christian work is done by average guys. See https://vimeo.com/88045219 .
Love God...Love Family...Love The Brotherhood...Love Others! We've been on a journey here at Resurrection for the past two months this being the ninth message in this series, Kindred United. The overarching idea is that we must, as a church body (the kindred, the family, the brethren or ...read more
