1. Put Down Your Bullhorn
Contributed on Jun 8, 2015
There were times where Jesus started out a sentence by saying, “I tell you the truth”. It was a declaration of affirmation where he was placing a strong emphasis on what followed. Today we'll look at his use of it in Matt. 6:1-4.

“OLD TESTAMENT LAW AND THE NEW TESTAMENT CHRISTIAN” Matthew 5:17-20 INTRODUCTION: (‘I tell you the truth’-first instance we find this phrase is in Mt. 5). We might think that because we are a Christian and under the new covenant, as I talked about last week in the ...read more

Contributed on Jul 20, 2015
The disciples asked Jesus why he spoke in parables. A parable is like an allegory or a fable-a practical story that illustrates a moral or spiritual concept. Jesus hadn’t used parables to this extent before now. Let's find out why he used parables.

Contributed on Jul 27, 2015
I’m sure you’ve all seen people do some wacky things and have thought to yourself, “These people are out of their minds”. Someone risking their life doing a stunt is one thing but what about when it comes to doing God’s will?

Contributed on Aug 3, 2015
Today we’ll learn a significant lesson from a seemingly insignificant person. If not for Jesus pointing her out, the act of the poor widow would’ve escaped everyone’s notice and the opportunity to learn a valuable lesson would’ve been lost.
