2. The Last Supper

In preparation for the Cross, Jesus’ institution of the new memorial consisted of three primary elements: 1) The Directive (vv. 26a, 27), 2) The Doctrine (vv. 26b, 28), and 3) The Duration (v 29).
The Lord’s Table is a remembrance of Christ’s work on the Cross that first Good Friday. Matthew 26 itself is devoted to preparing for the cross. The Twelve along with Jesus joined them in an upper room to celebrate the final Passover and inaugurate the first Communion. Depicted in Mark 14:17-26, in two ways we see that the New Passover began with 1) The Final Passover (Mark 14:17–21) and concludes with 2) The First Communion (Mark 14:22–26)

4. Burial: Death's Demise

In Romans 6:1–5, Paul shows three results that should be evident in a believers life because of the death of Christ. We see: 1) The Antagonist (v.1), 2) The Answer (v.2), and 3) The Argument explaining and defending that Answer (vv.3–5).
