1. And He Walks With Me
Contributed on Nov 28, 2025
Many theologians and preachers ignore the fact that God created us because He wanted to be with us. God is LOOKING for someone to walk and talk with. Are you that person God is looking for?
When Jesus was about to be born to Mary, an angel appeared to Joseph and said “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Matthew 1:23 GOD WITH US! Over the next few weeks, we’re going to be looking at God’s desire to ...read more

Contributed on Dec 6, 2025
Jesus was Immanuel - "God with us". The tabernacle was built to assure Israel that "God was in their midst." What can this promise God made to Israel mean to us, and why should it matter?
The Israelites had just left their slavery in Egypt, and they’d been in the desert for about a month, and had met their God at the base of a mountain called Sinai. (that’s the setting of our text today) Someone once estimated that the nation of Israel (as they were at Mt. Sinai) numbered ...read more

Contributed on Dec 12, 2025
Jesus was born to be called "Immanuel" - to be "God with us". What was it about the Temple that made it a symbol of how Christ intended to be "with us" as Christians?
There was a priest who served in large city, and one cold day in December he discovered that the baby Jesus - that had been his church’s manger had been stolen. THE SETTING: The sanctuary is in complete darkness, and in that darkness I stand at the pulpit with a candle and lighter in my hands) OPEN: Prophesying about the coming Messiah, Isaiah wrote (about 700 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem) “Those who walked in darkness have seen a great ...read more

6. His Power Within Us
Contributed on Dec 26, 2025
God promised that Jesus was going to be “God within us”. What is it about the Spirit that fulfils that promise, and what does the Spirit do to become our "helper?"
It was Christmas day, and a woman’s teenage son had given her a Christmas gift. She was surprised because she knew he didn’t have much money to buy a gift, but she smiled and opened the brightly wrapped box. Inside the box she found two AA batteries along with a note which said “Gift Not ...read more

Contributed on Jan 2, 2026
Heaven will come down and God will dwell with us forever. What can that mean to us, and what hope can we gain from that truth?
OPEN: A four-year-old boy asked his mother, “Mommy, when do I get to go to Heaven?” She responded, “Well, when you die or when Jesus comes back again.” The boy’s eyes got really big and he said, “Comes back? You mean He was here before?” (Celeste Gregg, California, Christianity.com 7/22/09) ...read more
