In the book of Acts, Luke in painting us this picture of the church gives us the essentials which should be a part of any church. Among these essentials is koinonia - a term translated into English as fellowship or community.

Proverbs 11:30 tells us that "He that wins souls is wise." There are three keys to understanding that ought to motivate us to be active soul-winners - the plight of the unsaved, the heart of the believer, and the command of the Savior.

The early church was effective because they were a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led body. what does it take to be Spirit-filled? God commanded us in His Word that we are to be filled with His Spirit.
