1. The Night They Came For Jesus
Contributed on Mar 8, 2026
It’s as if Jesus gives them permission to arrest Him. One comment here to put it beautifully, “They came to arrest Jesus. They didn’t arrest Jesus. Jesus arrested them.”
Find John 18 with me, if you will. One-half of the entire gospel of John is devoted to Jesus’ last week. In the weeks leading up to Easter, millions of Christians all around the world spend their time thinking about why Jesus suffered and died. We are just 4 weeks away from Easter. What we’re ...read more

2. Jesus On Trial
Contributed on Mar 16, 2026
Americans have a separation of powers in our republic, but this was not the case with Roman law. Caesar placed his all-powerful rule in the hands of the governor, who had Rome’s full authority to execute someone.
In the weeks leading up to Easter, Christians the world over spend time thinking about the meaning of the death of Jesus Christ. We are going to be spending our weeks looking at what the gospel writer John says about the last hours of Jesus’ life. This is the worst night in Jesus’ life. Jesus is ...read more

3. A Throne Of Thorns
Contributed on Mar 23, 2026

I hope you will join us for one of two identical services this Find the Gospel of John, chapter 19, with me. We continue to trace the story of Jesus’ final steps to the cross. 5. The Scars That Prove It (Easter 2026)
Contributed on Apr 5, 2026
She should have at least conceived of Jesus’ resurrection. Remember, Mary had been with Jesus for a long time. Had He ever broken a promise before? She had seen Jesus raise people from the dead. She was likely there when he fed the multitudes with only a sack lunch.
Happy Resurrection Day! Allow me to say at the outset: if you are here and you are not a Christian, we want you to know you are welcome here. Whether you are agnostic, Muslim, or simply someone who hasn’t been inside a church in a while, you are welcome. If you’re here for your one time to come ...read more

6. Failure Isn't Final
Contributed on Apr 14, 2026
There’s really just two people I want you to see in these two miracle stories – just two. I want you to keep your eye on Peter and Jesus. I want you to see how different Peter acts after the resurrection from before the resurrection.
In the moments to come, I want to show you that your Failures are not final by looking at the story of Peter, the well-known disciple of Jesus. I want to show you something that will blow your mind first. Find the last verse in the Gospel of John with me. But before I go there, we have this ...read more
