I WANT TO BUILD A BRIDGE!
The parents had died and left the farm to their two sons. The farm was divided by a creek. There was deep, hard feelings between the two brothers. They had not spoken to each other in several years. They went to the same church but they would not talk or even look at each other. The one brother won a multi-million dollar jack pot. The millionaire decided to go on a long vacation to Hawaii and enjoy some leisure time. Before he left he met with his old friend, a carpenter. The now rich brother commissioned the old carpenter to build a large wall between the two houses to separate the brothers families from seeing each other. The rich man told the old carpenter spare no expense build the wall high and secure. Well, the story goes the old carpenter BUILT A BIG BEAUTIFULL BRIDGE THAT CROSSED THE CREEK THAT DIVIDED THE TWO FARMS. The older brother was so impressed that his rich brother had a bridge built across the divide. The older brother heard when his rich brother was returning so he drove to the airport with his family and greeted his estranged brother warmly and hugged him. When they got back to the farms the older brother had his wife cook a huge meal and they celebrated the reunion. The rich brother could not figure what had happened to the older brother that made him so nice. The family celebrated being together again while partying on the bridge. The rich brother called the hard hearing old carpenter and said: WHY DID YOU BUILD A BRIDGE INSTEAD OF THE WALL THAT I ORDERED? The hard hearing carpenter said: YOU COMMISSIONED ME TO BUILD A BEAUTIFUL BRIDGE. The rich brother thought: I TOLD YOU TO BUILD A HUGE WALL SO WE COULD NOT GET TOGETHER. NOW, I UNDERSTAND GOD WAS IN THE BRIDGE. YOUR HARD HEARING HAS BROUGHT US BACK TOGETHER. MOM AND DAD WOULD BE SO THANKFUL. What seemed to be an accident and misunderstanding was the REPAIR FOR A BROKEN FAMILY.
